This is me clean-shaven (I rotate beards like seasons it keeps life interesting). And if you’re a senior, just know I’ve been holding a camera longer than you’ve been holding a pencil.

I’m powered by five things: love for my family, sports, the theater, any band that makes noise in a half way pleasant way, and the magic of chasing light and shadow with a camera.

I kicked off this wild ride back in the late ’80s yes, the actual ’80s shooting commercials and interviewing everyone from the wonderfully famous to the “hey, who are you again?” types at local TV stations. Then I dove headfirst into the wedding world and captured what feels like… oh, roughly a million “I dos.”

But when my sons grew up, I stumbled into photographing high school seniors and discovered y’all are my people. You're bursting with life, big dreams, and future-movie-montage energy. Now it’s my mission to freeze all that goodness into the most beautiful, dramatic, story-packed, wildly creative, cinematic images possible. (Yes… that was a lot of adjectives. And you deserve every one.)

And honestly? I love every second of it.

Facts about me
I started in business in

1998

I quit my day job to start a business and got married a month later.  I Probably should of thought that through a little more. However, I'm still married to the same wonderful woman and still in business so it all worked out.

I'm obsessed with

Creative Light and Shadow

Like seriously I think about it all the time

I often watch movies for the light not the plot

Favorite place to shoot

My studio or outside at night

Both places give me total creative control of the light, I love that.  Daytime outside is fine too but you have to share control with that big ball of burning gas in the sky

My go-to camera

Any Canon camera body

honestly the camera is the least important part of the process.  If a photographer can create beautiful light they can make anyone look amazing with any camera

Favorite Food

Cajun

If you ask me if I'm in the mood for boiled crawfish or shrimp the answer will always be YES!

One of my dreams is

To be a Canon "Explorer Of Light"

I would be so honored.
